Balance for Better: Gender Equality in the Workplace and in Leadership

 

On September 13, Shaan Kumar hosted a TweetChat on Safecity’s Twitter handle about ‘Balance for Better: Gender Equality in the Workplace and in Leadership’.

The TweetChat focused on gender equality in the workplace and in leadership. A lot of people were on-board during this interactive chat. The first question was about steps that can be taken to have more women join the workforce globally. The responses were diverse and were mostly about making jobs accessible for women and creating a friendly recruitment process for women. The next question asked was if the role of women in leadership positions is important for global progress. The responses by the audience were strongly affirmative. Next question asked was the steps that women can take to reach their full potential. Many informative and interesting answers were received. Further discussed were the advantages of having gender equality in the workplace and the barriers that women face. The last question in the TweetChat asked what the government can do to tackle gender inequality. The chat ended with an interactive and informative discussion about the same.
