The people of Sanjay Camp and Dakshinpuri are coming together to celebrate a full month of who we are. We are taking this opportunity to have conversations across neighborhoods of Ambedkar Nagar on the various issues that impact our lives, the many opportunities we lose access to and the several spaces we are scared to claim. We will be talking to people about gender, about violence and about our rights. We will be painting murals, organizing nukkad meetings, engaging stakeholders and doing all that we can to make our spaces safer and inclusive all through August in the hope that we remain spirited to continue doing this.

This initiative is part of our ongoing campaigns in Sanjay Camp and Dakshinpuri where Action India-Restless Development and Safecity are working with the communities to counter sexual violence in public spaces. The Mela begins on the 3rd August and we will be culminating the event on 31st August with a day-long event by our youth volunteers, we will be doing something every day, yes, we will be! We would love to invite you all to this month full of celebration, change and action.
