COVID19 has hit us very hard in India. The second wave in April/May was extremely brutal but in the last 18 months, many people have lost jobs and have health problems. To further aggravate the situation Goa was badly hit by Cyclone Tauktae in May. Red Dot Foundation is supporting food donation drives in Goa and Delhi NCR through a volunteer network.
In Delhi NCR, we have tied up with Krantii which is a group of ex-Army/Navy people led by Wing Commander Satyam Khushwaha. In Goa, our volunteers are Mark DSilva (North Goa) and Andrea DSouza Crizzle (Panjim)
Thus far we have supported 250 families (1000 individuals) with a month’s ration of dry food and sanitary supplies. Each family kit contains:
- Rice Bag (5 Kg)
- Atta (5 Kg)
- Red and Yellow Dal (2 Kg)
- Palm Oil (1 ltr)
- Sugar (1 kg)
- Tea (.5 kg)
- Bathing Soap (2 pcs)
- Vim
- Rin
- Sanitary Pads
- Onions (2 kg)
- Potatoes (2kg)
- Some Spices
Each family kit – dry rations for one month – costs around Rs 3200 / USD 45. We would love your support.
