The chat started off with a conversation about the presence of a patriarchal society and how it promoted the glass ceiling. There was also talk about the United States of America and whether or not they are protecting their own metaphor. Once problems were identified such as the wage gap, ideas were put forth by the participants as to how the glass ceiling can be destroyed. Finally, the question came to whether or not we actually practice what we preach about equality and misogyny.
