BROKEN
He had been following me since two days
How on earth wouldn’t I be terrified?
Had I to ask him to stop stalking,
He would have blatantly denied!
Or maybe he would have done things,
Things I get nightmares about,
What would he have done to me,
Had I managed to shout?
I could see his traces
Each and every place I went.
His shadow followed me through the streets,
Could I step outside the house? I didn’t want reason to repent.
Scared, panic-stricken, terrified,
Fear had me broken alive.
The only thing I wish I could do
Is to make them realise we aren’t naive.
I will fight this battle here and now,
For me and for every girl I know.
We aren’t things or objects but people, like you.
Tell me, please, how could you fall so low?
Running away will do no good;
Battling this will show our worth.
We are the ones with the power,
We are amongst those who gave you birth!
