Can Alternative Education help achieve Gender Equality?

On 15th of December, Sharda Vishwanathan @visharda co-founder of Tale Weavers, conducted a tweetchat on ‘How can alternative education help achieve gender equality?’

The chat began by discussing what is alternative education and how it can help in improving access to education. The chat also discussed how alternative education can help in equipping boys and girls with life skills while also facilitating community management and how alternative education programs have helped in reducing gender gaps in education.

The audience spoke about education at home, proper education for rural and academic needs, increasing involvement of society, assigning projects of children. Bringing the chat to an end, the discussion revolved around role of alternative education programs in reducing gender gaps in education.
