Domestic Violence is a Crime

On 9th February, Nyaaya @NyaayaIn conducted a tweetchat on the heinous crime that domestic violence is. Breakthrough India was a guest on the chat sharing their expert opinion through on-ground work and research.

The chat spoke about the importance of recognising and accepting the fact that one was living in a violent relationship. The abuse could be mental, physical, emotional, economical and it is vital for one to be aware of one’s rights to protect themselves from these kinds of abuse. Nyaaya explained the law and its provisions for the relief of women suffering domestic abuse. It was an eye-opening chat.
