Gender Inequalities in the Workplace
On 27th April, 2018, Kalyanee Tokala @KalyaneeTokala our social media intern conducted a tweetchat on Gender Inequalities in the Workplace.
Kalyanee covered all the aspects of gender inequality during the course of the week and focused on certain aspects during the tweetchat. She began by asking the audience the importance of nurturing a diverse workforce. With regards to disabilities, she asked how companies and organisations encourage people with disabilites to join the workforce and ways in which women can be empowered to stand up for themselves. The tweetchat also discussed ways of sensitising people about the LGBT women and community and whether dividing the work equally between both sexes should start from an early age.
