Know Our Team is a series that attempts to bring to you the stories of our team, share our experiences, why we do what we do and special moments that have left an indelible mark in each of our lives.

Tania Echaporia heads the operations of Safecity in Pune. She is a skilled professional, adept at working operationally and strategically to deliver business goals through leadership and motivation. She has18 years of varied experience, most of which has been with Human Resources, in all aspects of people management along with excellent customer service skills. Her forte lies in building people capability and managing teams. In her last assignment, she headed a team of 35 staff to support the Human Resource, Recruitment and training requirement from on boarding to exit. Her past experience has been with the Service and Hospitality Industry. She looks forward to making a difference in the lives of women and children and making public spaces safer and equally accessible to all.

GRATITUDE

Every single day in the newspaper, in Pune, there are cases of molestation and sexual abuse. It’s like a pandemic. I joined Safecity in 2016, to help create awareness and stop sexual harassment.

This is what I have to say about my journey so far, put together with my son’s help.

I’m grateful that I don’t have all,

For if I did, I would never call.

I’m grateful that I don’t know everything

Then I can learn something.

I’m grateful for the difficult times,

‘Coz I do grow like the vines.

I’m grateful for each problem

It helps fight the inner demons and goblins.

I’m grateful for my mistakes

From illusions of success I wake.

I’m grateful when I’m tired and unruly

It means I’ve made a difference truly.

Thanks for the troubles and all things sad

They are really not that bad.

Gratitude is useful day and night

Without it I couldn’t fight my plight.
