Women: From Poverty to Empowerment SDG1

Anupama, @anupamaskapoor, founder of Reboot, @reboot_network, conducted a Tweetchat on the journey of women from poverty to empowerment on the 18th of November. There were various facets which were discussed such as why poverty tends to have a greater influence on women compared to the influence on men. Not only this, but it was also concluded that uplifting women is necessary for sustainable development of the world. There were various solutions proposed to the idea of moving women in poverty to being empowered women. One of the key factors seemed to be the necessity of paid work for women as well. Overall, the chat talked about an egalitarian society.
