Women, Harassment and Poverty #SDG1

Adya Singh, @adyasingh99, who is an intern at Safecity conducted a Tweetchat based on the idea of harassment faced by women as a result of their economic background. There were discussions regarding how women living in poverty are harassed as well as how the observed harassment is different from that of an average woman. There were various suggestions brought out by the participants regarding how these women can be educated about their rights to voice their opinion and the necessity to have the ability to differentiate right from wrong. Not only this but ideas regarding how these women can be motivated and have enough confidence to take a stand on their own were also spoken about.
