Women in the Workplace

On 17th March, Harshvardhan Korada @KoradaHarsh, our Social Media intern, conducted a Tweetchat on “Women in the Workplace”.

This tweetchat discussed various sub-topics within the overarching topic of ‘Women in Workplaces’ including the issue of pay-parity for women and how women are treated unfairly in the professional world. The question of safety in a workplace was then questioned and whether laws are “gender-neutral.” The participants also discussed about the Maternity Benefits Amendment and ways to promote safety  for women and the third gender in a workplace by making physical and mental harassment punishable.
