Women’s Role in Peace and Security SDG16

Rasha Jarhum, @RashaJarhum, who is a gender rights activist in Yemen and the Founder of Yemeni Youth for Humanitarian Relief, conducted a TweetChat on 7th October on the role of women in peace and security. There were many ideas which were called into question such as the necessity of female representation on important decisions as well as how we can achieve this goal of complete inclusivity regardless of an individual’s gender. Furthermore, the role of other stakeholders in promoting inclusion was also discussed. Various participants brought in their perspectives on the theme.
