Youth Innovation Challenge- Session 2

The finalists of the Youth Innovation Challenge had their second session at Godrej- The Trees in Vikhroli, Mumbai on 8th September.

The day began with Supreet K Singh our Director and COO, setting the tone for the day with a brief introduction of all the sessions. Our finalists then set off on a tour of the beautiful venue. Mr. Dhwaipayan Aich from The Design Studio, Godrej took the first session explaining how a factory was turned into an office and working space. This was followed by a Finance 101 session by Avinash Shroff from TomorrowMakers.com talking about the importance of personal finance as well as tips for start-ups. Harnidh Kaur headed our next session on Communications, social media and strategies to highlight their innovations in the digital world.

Post lunch we had Bishakha Datta and her team from Point of View join us to talk about the intersections of gender and technology in our everyday life. Through group discussions, case studies and sharing of examples from real life, our finalists were more sensitised about the use of technology.

We had Latha Sankarnarayan from DevelopmatriX– our partner, sharing her inputs for tips through the different sessions. Rupali Goswami from Save the Children India joined us.
