Prioritising General Health and Well-being
On 26th July 2019, Dr. Michelle Frank @DrMichelleF conducted a tweetchat on “Prioritizing our general health and well-being”.
The chat commenced with the questio, whether the participants make their health a priority. Many people confessed that they struggle to take care of their health even though they want to. A few others stated minor changes in their lifestyle have improved their health. The next question questioned negligence of health, especially women. The responses received were almost similar. They said that most of the women put their family before themselves, so they don’t get time to take care of their health. The next topic discussed was about the habits one should follow for a healthy lifestyle. The responses included keeping oneself hydrated, regular exercise, eating healthy, etc. The next question brought out the ways through which we can make our mental health a priority. According to the participants, the first step is to accept that mental health is a priority and then seeking help from professionals if needed. The last question discussed on ways to ensure that general health and well-being becomes and stays priority for the young generation. The responses concluded that this can be achieved by setting an example for the young generation by following a healthy lifestyle and by explaining to them the importance of health and well-being.
