Safe and Inclusive Workspaces for Women
On 9th March, Monk Prayogshala @monkprayogshala conducted a tweetchat on ‘Safe and Inclusive Workspaces for Women’.
The chat began by questioning what it meant to have safe working spaces for women and went on to ask whether organisations and companies provide any measures to create safe workspaces for women. The participants were then asked whether their organisation had a working ICC and what their experience with it was. The chat then opened up to people’s views on what were the norms, practices and culture that made work places uncomfortable or unsafe for women and what it meant to have a workspace that is inclusive for all. The chat ended by asking for specific changes to practices and policies that could be taken toward making work spaces safe and inclusive for women.
